Iyoha who was also a member of the Edo State Waste Management Board had in a letter dated July 28, and addressed to Gov Godwin Obaseki, stated that his resignation was on personal grounds.
In a related development, the Chairman, Edo State Post Primary Education Board, Mr. Gabriel Oiboh, alongside two other members also tendered their resignation letters to the governor.
According to Mr. Oiboh and Osanyemwere Osawe in a letter dated July 28, the reason for their resignation bordered on pressure to defect to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Also, three Commissioners from the Edo State Oil and Gas Producing Area Development Commission (EDSOGPADEC) have also resigned their appointments.
Meanwhile, Sources told Morenews that more calamity may befall Governor Obaseki if he does not take time to put his team in other for the September elections.
the Sources revealed that some of the “so called” supporters of the PDP gubernatorial flag-bearer are not loyal to him as some other are on a revenge mission to take their pounds of flesh from the governor whom they see as trying to reap where he did not sow.
“I can only say that what has happened is just a tip of the iceberg for Obaseki,” he concludes.
