APC Government has failed Nigerians – Methodist Prelate
A head of the 2023 general elections, the Prelate of Methodist Church Nigeria, Samuel Kanu Uche has urged Nigerian christians to vote only individuals that has their interest while condemning and not political parties.
The Prelate who was speaking recently during his valedictory tour to Ikot Ekpene Arch-Diocese of the Methodist Church as part of his pre-retirement tour noting that by November 2022 he will be retiring from the office of the Prelate as stipulated in the constitution of the Church.
“What I’ve come to do here as part of my valedictory tour of Ikot Ekpene Arch-Diocese is to pray for the peace of the land, to pray for fruitfulness in the land, pray for progress in the and pray for God’s presence in the land”
While positing that “the All Progressives Congress (APC) government has failed Nigerians”, the man of God condemned Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket by the party which he said demonstrates insensitivity of he party to Christians in the country.
“”I want to advise Nigerians that in the coming elections in 2023, please shine your eyes. I’ve said it before at the national and at the ecumenical levels and I’ll say it again.
“”Don’t party but vote for a person. I’m sorry to say that APC is a failed government. They have not impressed us at all.
“I seriously, roundly, comprehensively, totally condemned the issue of Muslim-Muslim ticket . That means they have non’t recognize us. If you vote for Muslim-muslim ticket you have betrayed us. You’ve betrayed Christ,” the Prelate remarked.
The Prelate described Akwa Ibom people as Peace loving, kind and hospitable people and pray God to bless the people of the state
